A year ago today we finally officially moved in to our very own manufacturing facility. We were excited, but we were also terrified. Could we afford all of the new expenses? Had we dotted all of our Is and crossed out Ts? This felt like the real deal.
Thanks to the talent and dedication of our amazing team at the new facility, this year has been incredibly successful. There have been learning curves, and having your own facility certainly comes with the some unexpected red tape, but all in all it has been a wonderful experience and every day we are thankful for Sandy, Holly and Everett who keep everything running smoothly there.

We've seen many improvements to the customer experience in the past year: Orders go out light years faster than they used to, often by the next business day; We have looms and accessories stocked at all times; we have invested in new equipment to help make our products better, like our new copper polishing machine; We have the space and manpower to branch out in our offerings, like we now sell individual bobbins of our hand-painted silk; and much, much more.
Looking back, I'm amazed at all that we've accomplished this year. We came out with three new looms: The 12" Little Guy Loom Tall Edition, The 16" Big Sister Loom Tall Edition and the 48" Lily Loom (which is beginning to ship this week.)
We launched our Shed Extenders, which give any Mirrix Loom a much larger shed as well as our Extended Shed Loom Package.
For bead weavers, we now have a "Just Beads For Me" Loom Starter Package, which comes with warp coils chosen specifically for bead weaving, a Bottom Spring Kit and any Mirrix loom size with or without a shedding device.
We also came out with a few new kits: The Prism Tapestry Kit, The Meredith Necklace Kit, The Sunny Bracelet Kit, The Holly Bracelet Kit and The Bonifacio Bracelet Kit.
This past year we also launched three amazing new collaborative loom starter packages.
The first was The Balfour & Co x Mirrix Looms Loom Starter Package to go along with their rug weaving course. Course sign-ups have ended and we are sold out of the package, but keep an eye out this month for some updates on this collaboration!
The second was The Noreen Crone-Findlay x Mirrix Looms Loom Starter Package that is perfect for anyone interested in weaving small innovative weaving projects like bags, scarves and dolls. It also comes with some amazing bonus material put together by Noreen.
The third is our Janna Vallee x Mirrix Looms Loom Starter Package that just launched last week. It is a tapestry kit designed to accompany Janna Maria's online course at School of SweetGeorgia.
Thank you to all of our loyal customers, old and new, and especially to our wonderful team. If you're looking for a loom that is truly put together with love and care, I can assure you that our looms are.
