
In this tutorial, we will show you some techniques to make a mixed-media mini weaving using SoftFlex Wire on a Mirrix Chloe Loom. This project is freeform in every way: There are no rules, only experimentation! It is a fun way to use up those errant beads in your stash.
In this tutorial you will learn:
-How to set-up and warp a Mirrix Chloe Loom with SoftFlex Wire warp
-How to weave a mixed-media weaving using wire, beads and yarn
-How to finish a mini weaving with wire warp
What do you need to begin:
-A Mirrix Chloe Loom
-A good pair of scissors
-A bead mat
-A ruler or measuring tape
-SoftFlex very fine craft wire
-A beading needle
-Thread
-Craft glue
-Fun yarns of different textures, we love using Mirrix hand-painted silk
-Different sized beads and crystals with a fairly large hole
-Thicker SoftFlex wire
-Optional: A frame (with or without glass; make sure it will fit your weaving at its thickest point.)
