From the beginning, Mirrix Looms have always been made in America. Manufacturing started out in a friend’s barn in Greenville, Wisconsin and now we have our very own facility not too far away in Sturgeon Bay. Mirrix’s President Claudia Chase made a conscious decision from the beginning to not outsource the making of our looms overseas. We have always been dedicated to the idea of making a product that will last a lifetime and of creating jobs right here at home.
Recently, new tariffs have caused American companies who make products or source materials from overseas to take on new costs. Many of these costs are being passed on to the consumer. Unfortunately, even though our looms are made in America and we buy materials from American companies, we are not immune to price increases. We’ve heard from many of our U.S. distributers that price increases are coming (or have arrived) on everything from screws to needles. U.S. metal companies are raising their prices, too.
That said, we are doing our best not to raise loom and loom accessory prices for as long as we can manage. It is our hope that we can weather this storm and we know that our loyal customers will be there for us, spreading the word about our company and our values, and continuing to build a strong Mirrix community. We will be as transparent as possible as we navigate these waters and we will do our best to keep our products affordable.
Thank you for reading and for being a part of our community.
