Taos Wools (originally Weaving Southwest) is a textile gallery, weaving classroom and yarn store in Arroyo Seco, New Mexico. It owes its existence to the Rachel Brown, the amazing fiber artist (tapestry weaver, dyer, spinner) and author of “The Spinning, Dyeing and Weaving Book”. Recently we contacted Joe, who owns Taos Wools, to ask if there was a way we could work together. He sent us samples of their wool and we fell in love with it. We asked Joe if he could dye some colors just for us so we could package them in sets in smaller quantities so Mirrix customers could experience a range of their colors and the absolute loveliness of their yarn. He said yes and was just as excited as we were. The dyed colors are variegated, giving your tapestry more complexity. The natural grays are stunning.
