Can't find the perfect color for a project? This white silk can be used as is or you can dye or paint it yourself! It takes dye beautifully and is a pleasure to weave with. Those doing needlepoint will love using it on a 14 or 18 canvas. We have used it for: weaving, embroidery, needlepoint, Kumihimo and crochet.

This gima silk tape (also known as straw silk) is composed of six strands of mulberry silk combined to create a ribbon-like structure. This silk is imported from the factory in Japan that produces it. Gima means “like linen,” called so because the thread has the feel of linen. As you use it, it softens up.

This book is a great resource for dying: "Hand Dyeing Yarn and Fleece" by Gail Callahan

Bobbins available in 12 or 50 yards.
