Way back in 2010 we launched a program called "Social Market for a Mirrix." We gave away looms to a few people in exchange for blog posts about their experiences with the looms. It was a huge success and really the beginning of the online community Mirrix has fostered since.
We've had many variations of this program in subsequent years and today we are officially accepting applications for our 2024/2025 Mirrix Looms Ambassador Program. We will be giving away two loom packages in exchange for posts on our blog and on social media.
Here are the details of the program:
Whom we are looking for:
Tapestry and bead weavers of any level who can create content around their experience with a brand new Mirrix Loom.
We will choose two participants.
The timeline:
Applications due October 1st. Applicants chosen by October 21st.
Program dates: December 1st - May 31st
What applicants will be asked to do:
Post three times a month from December through May either to your own website or the Mirrix Blog or on your own social media accounts. (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube or other relevant channels.) We will re-post/share posts to our accounts. Any personal accounts used for posting must be public.
We are looking for writing, photos and videos sharing your experience with your new loom as well as projects you are working on.
What applicants will receive:
Up to $400 worth of supplies from Mirrix Looms. This includes a loom and may also include loom accessories and select warp and weft depending on what the applicant wants/needs. For example, you might get a 16" Big Sister Loom and Shasta Combs or an 8" Lani Loom, heddles, Bottom Spring Kit with four warp coils and nine bobbins of hand-painted silk. We will work with you to find exactly what you want!
