Tapestry Cuff Webinar: FREE We are hosting a webinar! Part one is at 8:30 pm on Monday, August 23rd. Part two will be on Wednesday, September 1st at 8:30 pm. The webinar will be on warping and beginning to weave and then finishing and putting together the tapestry bead cuff. It will incorporate a lot of techniques you can use in all sorts of bead and fiber weaving! Part one will be the warping and beginning to weave. Claudia Chase Teaches "Tapestry Cuffs" on The Mirrix Loom ONE DAY ONLY 10 am to 5 pm September 18th, 2010 at Semantics Gallery in Edmonds, WA Learn how to: *Warp the Mirrix Loom using the shedding device *Weave using yarns and beads to make a beautiful mini fiber/bead tapestry *Attach the tapestry to a brass cuff *Apply finishing techniques using beads to turn your tapestry cuff into a true masterpiece Cost: $155 including all necessary materials except the Mirrix Loom with Shedding Device FANTASTIC DEAL! Workshop at The N.H. Institute of Art Claudia will be teaching a class at the N.H. Institute of Art in October. Bead Weaving on a Mirrix Mon. 9:30 – 12:20 pm (Oct. 18 – Nov. 15) This foundation class will introduce students to the art of weaving on a high-end bead/tapestry loom. Three projects will teach a variety of weaving and finishing techniques. Students will finish the course equipped with the skills necessary to design and create woven bead and bead/fiber pieces independently. Projects will include a beaded cuff bracelet, a bead/fiber pouch, and a beaded split-loom necklace. A loom will be provided for use in class. If students want to take their looms home, a $250 deposit will be required. Additional materials will be available for sale from the instructor. Prerequisite: None. One-Day Workshop in Francestown, New Hampshire "Beading On The Mirrix Loom"   Date: TO BE DETERMINED Cost: $175 Description: Learn bead weaving on the Mirrix Loom. This class will take you through the basics of loom setup, planning and designing a pattern, weaving and finishing. Come with your ideas, questions, inspirations and reative spirit. What to Bring: -Any size Mirrix Loom (with or without a shedding device, we will teach both) -Beading thread & beads -Your favorite beading needles -Anything else you feel you need for a day of bead weaving -Lunch Available to Purchase: -A Mirrix Loom (tell us in advance what size you will need) -A bracelet kit: $30 -Beading mats, scissors, needles, thread Please email us (mirrixlooms@comcast.net) to register
